Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Patients
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with committing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
The Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
The charges come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
