Artist D4vd Supposedly Named as Suspect in Death of Teen Found in Tesla
The artist known as D4vd has been named as a person of interest in the death of Celeste Rivas, a teenager who vanished and was later located deceased inside the musician's Tesla car in September, according to police.
Finding of the Remains
This decayed body of Rivas, aged fifteen, was discovered in the fall inside the front trunk of a ebony Tesla linked to D4vd, whose actual name is David Anthony Burke. The automobile had been cited in a Los Angeles neighborhood and afterwards confiscated at a tow yard in the city.
Chronology of Events
Investigators believe that Rivas almost certainly succumbed in the springtime, noting that D4vd had apparently assisted in dismantling and discarding the corpse. The musician has refused to cooperate in the investigation, according to a law enforcement representative.
The adolescent Rivas was first noted as disappeared from a city 60 miles from Los Angeles in last April. The corpse was eventually discovered in the singer's Tesla after staff at the impound facility alerted a strong stench emanating from the car.
Inquiry and Official Remarks
This cause of death has not yet been determined, but the medical examiner's office stated that Rivas “appears to have been dead inside the car for an prolonged time before being located.” Law enforcement are treating her death as a murder.
Context on D4vd
The Houston artist had been issued a ticket in the Hollywood area just 11 days before Rivas was discovered in the automobile, after violating the three-day parking limit. Neighbors in the neighborhood reported that the Tesla had been stationed in the neighborhood for more than 30 days.
The victim's sibling stated that the household was aware that Rivas had a connection to the singer and that she was on her way to watch a film with him just before she vanished.
D4vd, referred to as “David,” is a NY-native musician famous for the popular songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” He and his agent were staying at a Southern California home in the Hollywood area in this past autumn, as stated by the home's proprietor, until authorities searched the residence.
D4vd has contracted with record labels. The artist was on tour at the period Rivas's remains were found, but terminated those performances subsequent to the finding of Rivas's body.
